Bright Scholar is the largest operator of international and bilingual schools in China. It was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE ticker: BEDU) on May18th, 2017.
In 1994, a high quality boarding community school was built in the first Country Garden community in Shunde, Guangdong Province. It has the privilege of being one of the oldest international schools in China, which gave priority to the recruitment of Chinese students, and utilization of International Baccalaureate’s (IB) programmes – PYP, MYP and DP within the IB continuum.

Requirements and Qualifications*
- 22-55 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (Education preferred)
- TEFL/TESOL 100+ hours certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred)
- Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
- Must be able to obtain a cleared background check
- Previous experience in an international school preferred
- English teaching positions require citizens of UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand orSouth Africa for visa purposes
- Subject teaching positions require candidates with relevant teaching background in selectedsubject matter, with IGCSE, A-level and/-or IB teaching experience preferred
Compensation and Benefit Package*
*Please note, the following is a general guide on compensation packages offered within the Bright Scholar network of chain schools. Individual schools will send offers to successful candidates based on school pay scale and the candidates’ qualifications and experience.
Kindergarten, Bilingual and International School Teachers
- Salary – 12,000-30,000RMB/month (approx. US$1,800-4,500/month)
- Accommodation – Furnished apartment/housing allowance provided
- Visa – Paid work permit, residence permit and medical check-up fees
- Arrival Support – Airport pick-up, and accommodation assistance (hotel/apartment)
- Paid Leave – Paid national holidays + paid summer and/-or winter holidays
- Food – Food allowance/3 free meals provided
- Flight Reimbursement – Between 5,000-12,000RMB (school/location dependent)
- Insurance – Medical and accident insurance
Elan School Teachers (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Foshan)
- Library Coach Salary – 13,000-17,000RMB/month (approx. US$2,000-2,600/month)
- Teacher Salary – 15,000-22,000RMB/month (approx. US$2,300-3,400/month)
- Visa – Paid work permit, residence permit and medical check-up fees
- Arrival Support – Airport pick-up
- Accommodation Support – 1200 RMB hotel reimbursement after 2 months’ probation; 10,000 RMB start-up loan for accommodation
- Flight Reimbursement – Up to 8,000RMB for return ticket to home country
- Insurance – Health and accident insurance after probation
- Bonus – Discretional bonus based on annual performance
- Paid Leave – 3 days for full-pay sick leave; 11 days for Chinese public holidays; 11 days for paid annual leave
